SPEEDWAY, IN – MAY 15, 2011 – Rain washed out today’s second day of practice for the 2011 Indianapolis 500 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Speedway, Indiana.

KV Racing Technology – SH Racing had a solid Opening Day of practice yesterday despite the interruption of rain showers. Tomas Sheckter was able to shake down his 07 Team REDLINE Xtreme machine and familiarize himself with his new team. He posted a speed yesterday of 220.175 mph, putting him 27th on the speed charts.

Scheckter is looking to qualify for his 10th Indianapolis 500.

KVRT - SH Racing will attempt to resume practicing tomorrow, weather permitting, in preparation for next weekend’s Indianapolis 500 qualifying. The 100th anniversary Indianapolis 500 will be held Sunday, May 29. It will be broadcast live on ABC beginning at 12:00 p.m. ET.
